Poptank : Game Menus

Clean aesthetics and typography was important to us, so the majority of our game overlaid strong type over beautiful images and video. This had an added bonus of being more user friendly and efficient than building complicated 3d menus. Every design and technical decision we made had to be balanced by the fact that we were a small team and the nimbler our solutions the better .

To us, the menus were as important as the rest of the game. It was the player's dashboard for tracking progress, finding friends to play with, and quickly jumping into a game. Our game had deep connections to our social network, and the 2-way communication allowed us to blur the line between in-game and on-line.
